After lunch we continued our journey but as we got nearer to our destination we thought it was going to be a disappointment again, we were on a fast moving dual carriageway which is very different to the type of road we were expecting. We took the required exit and found ourselves in a fairly large town but again one that had retained its individuality and even though it attracted many tourists it had intergrated them into its daily routines and accommodated them without compromising itself.
We settled into our accommodation after being scrutinised by this little red and green fellow sitting in the hedge by our door. After a quick cup of tea we walked down to a viewing point where we were able to see large areas of the valley, mountains and a sandstone rock formation called the Three Sisters. The vista that unfolded before us was spectacular and its true it had a distinctive blue hue. I am reliably informed by Mr Google this has something to do with small droplets of eucalyptus oil from the vegetation which combine with dust particles and water vapour and then scatter short-wave length rays of light which are predominantly blue in colour.
